Looking for a new kitchen but not sure which style to go for? Stay ahead of the game and check out what’s going to be big next year with our Kitchen Trends update from Symphony and Omega.
We’ve seen the trend for industrial kitchen designs increase. This look is all about combining textures and focusing on structural details, think metal effect, rough brickwork and sleek angled fittings. This look is often associated with larger open-plan kitchens but it can be adapted to suit any size or style of kitchen, but smaller kitchens should consider lighter shades than the more common dark greys and blacks.
Symphony has continued to develop its ranges to deliver clean, simple lines along with innovative solutions to create kitchen designs that function in today’s modern environment. That’s why they have introduced their Urban Range, alongside matt black finishing touches such as in line handles and open shelving to achieve this look.
Dark and Moody
Dark and moody colours such as Indigo, Anthracite and Cobble Grey are the in demand finishes for kitchens. The new Symphony Princeton one piece shaker is available in Indigo alongside the paint to order finish which is available across all painted ranges. Brass finishing touches are often chosen to compliment these colours for a glamorous look.
There also been an increase in popularity of black kitchens, walls, worktops along with matt black taps.
Bold and Colourful
Dark and moody isn’t the only colour of choice that is rising in popularity, we’ve also seen an increase in more unusual bold colour choices for kitchens including Blush Pink, Sky Blue, Turquoise and Heather. These are often accent colours complementing a core colour to bring some real drama to the space.
The latest contemporary kitchens are all about simplicity, space and multi-tasking, and the latest advances mean that traditional handles can be replaced with push open and close cupboards, or recessed handles giving a more sleek, minimal look.
Handleless kitchens have been popular for a few years now, and will be as big if not bigger in 2020. They’re especially practical for smaller kitchens, where clean lines make efficient use of space, making your kitchen look larger and also allowing you to move freely without catching yourself on handles sticking out.
This contemporary look is timeless, classic, and much easier to clean!
