It was a hot and sunny day for our group of brave runners who took on the Jane Tomlinson Hull 10k race on 8th June 2014, running past some of Hull’s most iconic landmarks including The Deep, Queens Gardens and the Guildhall.
We entered our biggest ever team in this year’s event and they all did a sterling job of keeping up the pace. The team completed the course to raise over £1,600 for the Jane Tomlinson charity and several other cancer charities.
It’s all part of our drive to encourage everyone to be more active and to adopt a healthy lifestyle, whilst promoting camaraderie and teamwork. Businesses from across the region entered the race and the MKM team were more than up to the challenge, with some personal best times being recorded.
Rachel Waugh, Marketing Manager, said: “The atmosphere was electric and really motivated us all to do our very best to finish the course. It was a warm day, but the cheers from the crowd and the prospect of raising money for good causes kept us all going.”
