Apprentice Insight: Interview with our Yard Supervisor, Nathan

It might be National Apprenticeship Week from 6th-10th March, but we celebrate the work of our apprentices all year round. In our latest glimpse into the lives of our apprentices, we chat to Nathan Crowder, who’s working as a Yard Supervisor at our Sheffield North branch until September. Here, Nathan tell us about his high ambitions and his future at MKM.

Q: Why did you decide to look for an apprenticeship?
A: I decided to look for an apprenticeship because I wanted to improve my knowledge of the industry and the business.

Q: What do you hope to do at the end of your apprenticeship?
A: At the end of my apprenticeship I hope to move on to study for a Masters Degree. I also hope to work further with MKM and learn more about the sales and development side of the company.

Q: Are you specialising in one element of the trade or working with a variety of experts?
A: My diploma is on Team Leadership and Management, so I am studying all aspects of leadership.

Q: What’s your favourite thing about your apprenticeship so far?
A: My favourite thing about my apprenticeship is being able to learn more and develop my skills.

Do you work with a star apprentice, or did you start out in the industry by completing an apprenticeship? We’d love to hear from you. Why not follow us on Facebook and Twitter?
