In the truly imaginative project, our Lincoln branch has provided materials to help create an incredible model of the Coca-Cola Christmas truck – from a mobility scooter!
The unique scooter was developed by 73-year-old Barrie Hall to raise funds for Leukemia research – an illness which Barrie has tackled for more than 5 years.
Taking the last 8 months to complete, Barrie first approached Coca-Cola for the go-ahead before asking local businesses, including MKM for their support: “I never expected to get it off the ground. I cannot thank them enough for their generosity.”
However, this isn’t the first time Barrie has appeared in a souped-up scooter. In a touching tribute to his late wife who sadly died 5 years ago from mouth cancer, last year he decided to travel in style over the Christmas period. Dressing in a Santa suit and decorating the scooter with fairy lights along with other festive additions, Barrie is a seasoned fundraiser!
Want to see the scooter for yourself and support Barrie’s cause?
Barrie will be attending the MKM Lincoln Kitchen & Bathroom showroom launch on the 4th November from 7pm with his scooter to collect money for Leukemia research.
Please note, this is an invitation only event for MKM customers. For more details or if you would like to attend please contact Lincoln branch.
