MKM Building Supplies were approached to donate materials for a new gallery inside Kingston Art Group Gallery, known as KAG, in Hull.
MKM Building Supplies donated boards and battening for the KAGhoc space inside the KAG Gallery, which has been based on Humber Street since 2012 but has been around in the city since 1989.
The new KAGhoc area will contain curious and sometimes challenging shows by local and international artists. The space was recently host to an installation by Andrew Hodgson called Cabinet d’Amateur.
It was also home to the one of the Fountain ’17 exhibitions taking place all over the city, which featured many different artists interpretations of Marcel Duchamp’s Fountain piece, on the 100 year anniversary of the original piece.
Hull is the UK City of Culture 2017, and MKM Building Supplies are excited to be taking part as a Major Partner. The Kingston Art Group Gallery saw over 18,000 visitors during the first part of 2017.
