MKM Building Supplies Driffield were approached by local school Northfield Infants to help with developing a new gardening area within the school grounds.

The new space intends to give children opportunities to learn in an outdoor learning environment, connect with the local community and take ownership of growing their own plants, fruit and vegetables.

MKM Driffield donated enough sand and timber to make raised beds and seating for a wildlife area.

The timber was provided by supplier Forest Garden, who also supplied a garden store to house gardening equipment that the whole school can use.

Lynne Baarda, teacher at Northfield Infant School said “The Northfield garden is looking terrific and the children were very excited to see it when they returned today.”
