MKM Southport’s 5th Birthday Celebrations

A trade event took place at MKM Southport in celebration of their 5th birthday on 4th and 5th October 2013 which also raised essential funds for a local community charity.

Southport 5th Birthday 1A host of suppliers and customers were invited to the event which was housed in a marquee, serving free bacon and sausage sandwiches and offering competitions galore. Suppliers such as Polypipe, Stonemarket, Cemex and Superfoil all turned up to compete in goal shooting and chipping balls into a cement mixer which all raised money for the Community Link Foundation charity.

Matt Gerrard, Branch Director, said: “The atmosphere was fantastic and we were so grateful to all who turned up and contributed to make the event such a success, whilst raising money for a worthy cause. It was a great event to nurture customer relationships and we’ve had extensive coverage in the local press which all helps to get the MKM name out there. Thanks to everyone for making the event one to remember.”

Prizes won included a 40” flatscreen TV, Blu-ray players, four rounds of golf, supercar driving experiences and even tickets to see the Atomic Kittens in concert. All funds went to the Community Link charity who were delighted to receive a cheque for £500. Thanks to the suppliers that supported the event.
